The Green Man Pub‘s entry to the Monteith’s Beer & Wild Food Challenge is getting wildly popular. The Wellington bar has to replenish its stocks to deal with the increasing demands. You may be wondering what the beverage is made of. The pub has concocted apple infused horse semen shots which, apparently has tickled the taste of not just a few customers.
Steve Drummond, co owner of the Green Man pub says the interest for the virile stuff is not just limited to Wellington. The curious from all over the globe has shown interest in it, which means he is now ordering it in liters. Drummond said, "We’ve got it coming in bulk now". Basing on the demand for it, people are really interested in getting a taste, obliging the pub’s owners to increase stock levels to have it on hand when it’s asked for. Drummond shared on Friday that, “We’ve got a hundred shot glasses coming today, but that’s all going to go tonight. He added that, “I’ll be ordering in another three liters in early next week too, by the look of it".
Considering that the drink is partly made of horse semen, Drummond said he’s not concerned that the source of the stock runs out. He added that the stallions from where the stocks come from are bound to get fatigued just like anybody would but he believes “they have a reasonably large reservoir of the stuff".
It has been reported that when it first came out, women as well as men showed an interest in it. Though not the usual stuff you’d order from a pub, it has evidently piqued the curiosity of people regardless of gender. Its unusual ingredient, of course, should get the credit. People are showing they’re game for something new to try and while others wouldn’t find it fit for their more sensitive tastes, there are some who’d take the opportunity to get a taste of it.
